TRANSFORMATION OF MARK BORST - How I Lost 25 pounds in 90 Days

The foundation of FUEL is the analogy Nuclear vs. Coal. There will be an entire nutrition program, Scorecard, Recipes, Cookbook, etc., built around “Going Nuclear….” 

A New way to live. A New Approach to Nutrition for an optimized Brain and Body Chemistry. 

The initial reason for wanting to do spartan. I’m was sick of how I felt, sluggish foggy brain, yet jittery… so i figured if I set out to get in shape for the spartan I would in turn… I’m not sure, but I figured it couldn’t hurt to try these races

… then the burpee challenge, I was all in but dreaded the thought of 100. Then the magic was created… the rules, the go/no go, the added context.

I went from 18 min to 9 min in 30 days for 100 burpee… lost some weight, and more importantly felt better than I had in a long time. simultaneous to this, i stopped caffeine and limited alcohol.

By the time grit Oct 2019 started i was all in on telling my lessor self to fuck off and just do the work. Almost every day of every week, I improved across every metric measured.

Now in November, I have aches, pains and have woken up muscles…I have pretty much squashed the lessor self mentality when it comes to my work out… they always dont get done at the most optimal time, but there is not much inner discussion as to whether it will be done…

I have also been following the no added sugar/ processed sugar, no fried foods, and limited processed foods.

The combination of GRIT, no alcohol, no caffeine, clean diet. I have a clearer mind than I can ever remember.

I’m ready to make this a permanent way of life!

The legacy I want to leave for my kids, and the example I’m setting has been one of my motivations to go down this path.
